Chris Brown has revealed the release date for his upcoming “X” project.

After providing us with a new track titled “I Can’t Win”, Chris Brown has also revealed the release date for his upcoming album X.

Breezy just released a new track Monday evening titled “I Can’t Win”, which will not find its way on his upcoming project. To go with it though, the track’s artwork read July 16th, which will be the date Chris Brown’s anticipated album, X, will be hitting stores.

The Hustle Gang mixtape gets some official artwork.

T.I. has been hyping the Hustle Gang mixtape for some time now, and it seems it’s finally coming together. G.D.O.D., which stands for Get Dough Or Die, arrives May 7 and now has some Native American themed artwork.

The tape will feature the usual suspects of the Grand Hustle crew includingTip, B.o.B, Travi$ Scott, Trae Tha Truth, Iggy Azalea, and Kris Stephens, as well as collaborations with French Montana, Mystikal, Problem, and Pharrell.

TLC Will Reunite For Mixtape Festival 2013

The surviving members of TLC will unite once again to perform at VH1’s Mixtape Festival 2013.

Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas are coming together once again as TLC to perform at VH1’s upcoming Mixtape Festival 2013.

The duo will take the stage at the two-day festival at Hersheypark Stadium on Friday, July 26, and Saturday, July 27. The second installment of the festival will feature perfomers such as Rev Run & DJ Ruckus, Boyz II Men, Train, New Kids on the Block, The Script, Jonas Brothers, OneRepublic, Hanson, and more.

T-Boz and Chilli are also serving as executive producers on a VH1 sanctioned TLC biopic, in which Lil Mama is set to star as the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez. They are also reportedly working on a comeback album.

Tickets will be available through ticketmaster starting Friday May 10th, and will begin at $50 for a two day pass.

Pusha T made his way to BET’s 106 & Park today to announce the release date of his upcoming debut album “My Name Is My Name”.

After delivering his new Kanye West-produced single, “Numbers On The Boards”, just last week, Pusha T has revealed that his long-awaited debut album, My Name Is My Name, is dropping July 16th.

Earlier today, Pusha stopped by BET’s 106 & Park for a surprise performance and to announce the special news. Pusha announced that his upcoming debut album, My Name Is My Name, will be hitting shelves July 16th. Pushapreviously revealed that we can expect features from Kanye, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, Future, and more on the album.

Push has already shot the music video for his new single “Numbers On The Boards”, and will be dropping it sometime next week. [Via]

Mac Miller Updates On "Pink Slime," Talks "SDS" & New Sound

Mac Miller discusses his ‘brand,’ his new single “SDS,” and whats up with his project with Pharrell, “Pink Slime.”

Mac Miller kept extremely quiet about his upcoming album, Watching Movies With The Sound Off, after he announced the title this past October. He finally showed signs that the album is indeed coming to fruition, when he dropped the first single, “SDS,” last week. The single proved to be a departure from Mac’s younger, mixtape days, with a trippy beat from Flying Lotus and a stream-of-consciousness-type-rap. Mac Miller seems to have begun the promo and press for his upcoming album, which may have an unexpected sound if the single is any indication. The rapper recently visited New York and discussed his growth as an artist with Hot 97, as well as with the Breakfast Club on Power 105, for respective interviews.

While talking to Hot 97, Mac discussed his collaborative project with Pharrell,Pink Slime, which seems to have fallen off Mac’s to-do list, at least for now. We got a leak or two off awhile back, but then, nothing. Mac Miller explains that he decided to put the focus on Watching Movies With The Sound Off, in order to present to fans his brand first, before meshing his brand with Pharrell’s.

Mac explained, “Pink Slime with Pharrell was the next move for awhile, but I just realized that it wasn’t time to do that yet. Like before I take my brand and mix it with Pharrell I wanna solidify what my brand is first. So I wanna do my album first.”

Mac and Hot 97 went on to discuss the whole idea of ‘branding,’ which Mac realizes is a must in the industry, but he also finds it strange. He detailed the type of ‘brands’ he thinks he had, before arriving to his sound in “SDS.”

The Rostrum Records rapper said, “I think that the whole brand thing in general is kinda confusing ‘cause I guess you do have the power to change it or say what it is, but it’s a weird idea. To be like ‘okay, what do I represent?’” Mac continued, “I definitely went through a few different ones, and it’s always like one pops off. If you listen to old stuff my brand used to be angry white rapper on Alchemist and Prem.”

Miller continued, explaining the brand that blew him up. “And then, you know, you get the brand like, ‘hey Mac Miller is a nice white guy who drinks beer.’”

Concerning his new single, Mac added, “I just came out with ‘SDS’ as a single. People are like, ‘I’ve never heard Mac Miller like this, this is crazy.’”

Killer Mike & El-P Announce "Run The Jewels" Tour

Killer Mike & El-P join forces for “Run The Jewels” and announce tour dates.

Killer Mike And El-P released two of the more interesting rap projects of last year. The two frequent collaborators have now decided to put out music as a unit, going by the title “Run The Jewels”. On top of putting out a free release on Fool’s Gold later this year, the two will head out on tour, along with Despot and former Das Racist (R.I.P.) emcee Kool AD.

The tour will kick off at the Ottawa Blues Fest on July 10th, and close out in New York August 14th. The 29 date stint will touch down in plenty of Candian and American cities along the way, including an appearance at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago.

DJ Mustard Signs With Roc Nation

Mustard has signed a management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation imprint.

DJ Mustard has made a name for himself with bay-infused 808 and snap laden production. Along with working extensively with artists like YG, Joe Moses, and Ty$, Mustard has branched out to work with bigger artists likeTyga, 2 Chainz, and Young Jeezy. It seems his collaborator list is about to get even longer and more diverse with the announcement that the beatmaker has signed a management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation imprint.

Industry exec Jay Brown will represent Mustard. “I’m excited to take my career to the next level with RocNation, and Jay Brown!” declared the producer in a statement. “Looking forward to working with RocNation artists.”

J.Cole, Wale, Rihanna, and Jay Electronica are among the other artists signed with the Roc who may reap the benefits of having Mustard as a labelmate.

The DJ also plans to drop a mixtape June 3rd.
